About Us: The Construction Process.

Part 3:
The Construction Process

Nothing is more exciting and rewarding than watching your new family home take shape. In Part 1 of the design/build process, the client-family has received the construction outline and is knowledgable of the process, from the mortgage application process to the final walk-through. Our client family knows how they need to prepare for each step, and know what to anticipate during the entire process. This eliminates the client's anxiety, and unsureness concerning the process. It also cements the bond in partnership between Rajala Homes Inc. and the family.

Each week a Job Status Schedule Report is delivered to the client. It documents the construction master schedule, showing any changes or modifications to the scheduled date of completion do to customer selection back orders, weather, and the like. When every day is outlined with a specific construction activity, it informs and communicates with the client what to expect. Continuous and open communication insures a lasting partnership and is the hallmark of our success.

Some of the Construction Process Documents used are:

Construction Scheduling Procedure Checklist:

Master scheduling documents and checklists can be used by construction managers and the client to monitor all stages of construction. Their use minimizes oversights that can be costly in terms of dollars and completion time. They provide the homeowner the information that helps define the importance of advance planning.

Job Status Schedule Report:

This document is updated weekly and delivered to the client-family. It projects the project time and can be used to measure the status and performance surrounding the home. It will also provide a written history of the construction of the home.

Partnership Agreement Changes:

Changes in the Partnership Building Agreement and/or any additions to the construction documents are always put in writing. This insures that there is never a possibility that a particular homeowner request or change ends up being forgotten, or, misinterpreted.

Construction Pictures and Graphic Log:

Each day of construction, Rajala Homes Inc. takes digital pictures of the construction process and provides them to the client family. This represents a picture diary of the building process, both for reference, and referral. It is a wonderful graphic display that will always remind the client-family of the realization of their ideas, plans, and dreams.
