Pre-Construction and Planning
This is the process where Rajala Homes Inc. and
our new partner-client learn from each other. Rajala Homes
Inc. places a great deal of emphasis on information sharing.
When choosing a builder, you need information from us
that makes you feel comfortable with our staff and operation,
and what will be expected from you throughout the home
design and building process. We need to know your needs,
wants, and dreams for our new project to take form.
It is our desire to help you get your thoughts
on the drawing board. We will help you organize and prioritize
and give you preliminary pricing for the various features
and amenities that you are considering. We will incorporate
these features into your design or plan selection.
This is the phase where we plot the course for
your custom home building journey, and proper planning
is essential for an enjoyable design/build experience.
Some of the design and planning steps include:
Lifestyle Survey:
We have found that charting the lifestyle behaviors of
the partner-client, certain activities that are a part
of their family's living style have not been considered
in their need/want/dream analysis. This process insures
proper planning.
Feature List:
This is a four page, two column listing of about every
item, feature, idea, material, and finish that a partner-client
family can examine to insure all possibilities and contingencies
have been considered.
Room dimension analysis:
Some clients know what size is required for a special
use room. This is added to the list of design specs.
Actual CAD design and blueprinting:
Usually there are several different ways to present a
selection list of design requirements. Rajala Homes does
several different floor plans and exterior elevations
until the partner-client family see's on paper exactly
the same image they have dreamed about.
